Evidence for TNT's inconsistencies with silencing users: the Virha situation

viiiiirha is a well-known member of the GenDisc community, and has previously advocated for changes to make Neopets a more inclusive place. After the various troll boards and the updating of "General Discussion" to "General Neopets Discussion," Virha was in the process of collecting screenshots and creating a petpage doc-menting the issue. But around 12:00 PM NST on April 7th, all of their accounts were completely frozen.

The original reason for their freeze was allegedly voting twice in a beauty contest, and this was the initial email Virha recieved

After submitting a ticket to appeal the freeze, Virha is messaged by Alice, in which she gives a quick apology for updating the ticket reason

The current official reason for their freeze is "bad posts"

And according to Alice, the "bad post" in question was a board made in reference to another user's typo. However, the original poster has not been frozen and still has an existing account. Both Alice's response and the original post (slightly censored) are as follows. The original poster specifically mentions that they made a typo, and the board was lighthearted in nature


Here was Virha's response, and they waited several hours to hear back from customer support.

In Alice's response, she further explains the initial error with the freeze reason.

Virha then reiterates their question about the specific rule violations involved.

Alice then doubles down on the reasoning, claiming that Virha was impersonating a relative of a TNT staff member and harrassing said staff.

Virha's response, in which they continue to be cordial and respectful despite the situation.

Alice then redirects the ticket to another customer support staff member, and as of 4/10 at 9:57 AM NST, no further response has been given and Virha is stuck in the limbo of customer support. Virha is a friend of mine, and I firmly believe that this ban is unjustified and should be repealed ASAP. I and many other Neopians can attest to their character as a kindhearted community member and an advocate for marginalized groups.

Though I am not as active on the gendisc boards as the others, I know for sure from Virha's usual posts that Virha is a very thoughtful individual who is articulate and empathetic in their talking. And the reason for their ban is an isolated incident, a typo that does not reflect their true values. Thank you.
